Xiaomi is expected to launch the world’s first Snapdragon 8 Gen 4-powered smartphone. Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi Pro are expected to become official in October. Although we are still many months away, they have already been in the rumors quite a lot, and now in China, the specification sheet for both has been out. Let’s dive into the features of both upcoming flagship smartphones.

Xiaomi 15 Specifications

According to leaks, the Xiaomi 15 will come with a 6.36-inch touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display now is brighter with the 1400 nit brightness. Snapdragon has launched the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, and these are the first two smartphones to use the same processor. So, you can assume the processing of the smartphones with this flagship processor. The predecessor series of the same smartphones arrived with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.

Lets have a quick look at the other specifications of upcoming Xiaomi 15:

  • In terms of storage, it is expected that this handset has up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS40 storage.
  • The battery of Xiaomi 15 is now 4800 mAh and will be charged with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
  • For camera lovers, there will be three cameras on the rear side of 50 MP resolution each. The main camera will have OmniVision sensor while the other will have Samsung’s ISOCELL JNI(1/2.76”).
  • For selfies, the front camera will be 32MP. Along with this, the handset will be IP68 certified for dust and water ingress.

Xiaomi 15 Pro Specifications

  • Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a bigger 6.73-inches screen panel with 2K resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. Both handsets feature an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. It may ship with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
  • In terms of charging Xiaomi 15 Pro will be equipped with a 6000mAh large silicon battery which supports the 120W wired and 80W wireless charging.
  • The rear side of the Xiaomi 15 Pro comes with three cameras of 50 MP resolution each. The larger lens will help the user to take the perfect shots indoors and outdoors.
  • The price of Xiaomi 15 is starting from CNY 4599 with 12GB of RAM and the 256GB variant of 256GB will set up at CNY 5499.
    • While on the other side, The Pro will start from CNY 5299- 5499 and can go up to 6299-6499 in the same RAM/storage combos, respectively.

Keeping the above details apart, It will still be interesting to see how Xiaomi differentiates the standard and Pro models beyond screen size, camera and battery capacity. Features like hardware performance in prolonged long use cases and additional software enhancements will also be very crucial in determining the overall value proposition for consumers.
