Xiaomi‘s Smart Ecosystem division has officially launched the Xiaomi Mijia High Speed Water Ion Pro Standalone Edition, a premium high-speed hair dryer built for fast drying and hair care, now available for purchase.

The Xiaomi Mijia High Speed Water Ion Pro comes in three colorways — tea grey, light moon white, and soft gold powder — and weighs just 405g. Xiaomi says the body goes through a three-coat, three-bake polishing process for a refined finish. Control buttons feature a CD-textured, anti-slip, fingerprint-resistant design, paired with a linear-textured, laser-engraved aluminum alloy temperature knob.

Practical touches include a magnetic smoothing nozzle for taming flyaways, and a pull-down magnetic cleaning filter at the base with a double-layer microporous design to stop hair from clogging the intake.

Performance

At the core of the Water Ion Pro is a new-generation 120,000 RPM high-speed brushless motor, capable of pushing airflow up to 72 m/s. Xiaomi claims this enables hair drying in as little as 30 seconds, cutting down significantly on styling time.

The dryer offers two wind speed settings and four temperature modes — cool, warm, hot, and hot/cold cycle — plus a manual knob for fine temperature control between 30°C and 90°C. Multiple noise-reduction technologies are built in, aimed at quiet operation that won’t disturb others at night.

Smart Sensing and Hair Care Tech

The Xiaomi Mijia High Speed Water Ion Pro pairs dual constant-temperature drying with a dual-effect water ion and negative ion conditioning system, releasing high-moisture nano water ions designed to penetrate the hair core and replenish moisture alongside the high-speed airflow.

For added precision, a TOF sensor tracks the real-time distance between the scalp and the air outlet, while an NTC thermistor measures temperature 200 times per second — together automatically keeping airflow temperature within a safe, comfortable range.
